We hosted delegates from U.S. Small Business Administration and Washington State Department of Commerce at our facility yesterday! We took them on a tour through our facility and provided a demo, giving them the opportunity to operate an air pallet!
Dilawar Syed, Deputy Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration Deputy Administrator, got to move more than a ton of weight . . . easily! He toured AeroGo, Inc. in Tukwila as part of his Western Washington visit this week. AeroGo manufacturers equipment to move heavy items and materials, in this case, using air casters. The company also uses hovercraft and other technology to help their clients move items weighing just a few hundred pounds to 5,000 tons. AeroGo has grown their business domestically and internationally by leveraging SBA services and products such as the Paycheck Protection Program as well as the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) administered by Washington State Department of Commerce. Congratulations again to First Mode on the ribbon cutting of their new factory in SODO! We are proud to partner with customers that are dedicated to changing the world in big ways, and we can't wait to see First Mode do just that!
Thank you for joining our #SmartFactory Ribbon Cutting, FOX 13 Seattle! As Matthew Smith reports, “First Mode is setting up this factory in an effort to reduce emissions from giant trucks used in mining operations and other heavy industries… [First up for their product line is manufacturing] add-on systems that can make current machines hybrid. The reason is pretty simple too. Companies want to save money, but they can’t buy all new vehicles if they still want to turn a profit.” Watch their coverage, including why Governor Jay Inslee believes First Mode is ushering in “the biggest transition in our country since we transitioned from horses to cars.” https://lnkd.in/g73Nxr-y #PoweringCleanEnergy #FirstModePathToZero #Decarbonization
