Aerodyne Group is dedicated to empowering our clients with insightful data to make well-informed decisions about their agribusiness ventures. Our primary tool involves utilizing multispectral mapping and analysis, enabling us to provide comprehensive insights into crop health and productivity. I am pleased to announce the publication of our research paper titled, "The Impact of Foliar Fertilizers on Oil Palm Trees using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)", a collaborative effort between Aerodyne Group and Mados's Holdings Sdn. Bhd. This research demonstrates significant advancements in agricultural technology and methodology and is co-authored by Razwan Zakaria, Kamarul A. Muhamed, Kandasamy Kanny, Abdullah Salleh and myself (Tiagrajah V Janahiraman, Ir Dr). This publication was presented in "International Conference on Green Energy, Computing and Intelligent Technology (GEn-CITy 2024)"?in collaboration with the IET, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University?(XJTLU) China, UCSI University Malaysia and University of Santo Tomas, Philippines, between?11th December 2024 to 13th December 2024 In our study, Aerodyne deployed agricultural drones for carrying out foliar spraying on four blocks in Mados’s plantation. Foliar spraying, or foliar fertilisation is the direct application of nutrients to plant leaves, and it offers a targeted and effective method to enhance plant health. This practice is followed by multispectral mapping by another drone equipped with a multispectral payload to assess the effectiveness of the foliar application through chlorophyll level measurements. The results of our research demonstrated significant improvements at both the tree and field levels, with a notable increase in chlorophyll levels. This improvement corresponded to a remarkable 32.14% increase in the mass of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) collected in 2023 and 2024 for blocks 1 to 10 in Phase 1 and blocks 21 to 26 in Phase 3. Our study highlights two key merits: the deployment of UAVs for foliar spraying purposes and the application of UAVs for evaluating chlorophyll content. The latter provides a non-destructive alternative to traditional laboratory analysis for capturing nitrogen (N) levels, enhancing crop performance assessment. This paper underscores the potential of UAV technology in agriculture to optimize crop yield and performance effectively. Stay tuned for more innovative insights and developments from Aerodyne Group.

Agrimor captures health of oil palm trees and analyses it using our geo-computational processing methodology. While common solutions looks at field level analysis, Agrimor isolates each trees and run our algos to get specific indices. Example here showing chlorophyll and water uptake levels of each trees - understanding of plant chlorophyll content is important to see nutrient uptake i.e. low chlorophyll is caused by insufficient nitrogen ( N), magnesium (Mg) and iron (Fe)! After understanding the level of nutrients of each tree, we then fly our drones for foliar application to the crop. We apply about 35-40L per ha - usually our pilots flew 200-300 ha per day with few drones. Results are looking awesome!

The Malaysian Palm Oil Association and the Incorporated Society of Planters jointly organized the Malaysia Future Agri-Tech Expo 2024 (MFAT 2024) on the 18th Oct 2024. The landmark event was held at the Aerodyne Campus in Cyberjaya. It was a great honor for Aerodyne to host agriculture technology experts, plantation organizations, and agriculture solutions providers from both Malaysia and abroad. The Agrimor team collaborated with the organizers to ensure the event was both successful and informative for all participants. Our Group CEO and Founder, Dato’ Kamarul A. Muhamed, wholeheartedly supported the team and actively participated in the event's launch ceremony. Our Chief Technology Officer, Tiagrajah V Janahiraman, Ir Dr, delivered a speech titled “Foliar Application and Digital Agriculture”. The speech content covers 2 major components: a)???????Application of foliar nutrient supplements directly to the leaves of oil palm trees, along with a methodology for evaluating their effectiveness using multispectral analysis. b)??????Information technology plays a key role in the management, analysis, and application of agricultural data to design more precise and targeted interventions. The integration of advanced technologies, such as satellite imagery, remote sensing, and geographic information systems, enables the transformation of raw data into actionable insights for agriculture. Our Chief Product Officer, Razwan Zakaria, shared Aerodyne's insights on managing digitalization in agriculture and crop service management during the industry panel discussion.
