?? NEW SCAM ALERT?? The FBI has issued a warning that scammers are targeting CEOs and executives by sending mail to alert them that their systems are infected with ransomware.? These letters, impersonating the BianLian group, are typically marked “Time Sensitive Read Immediately” and urging them to scan a QR code to pay the ransom.? It’s important to note that the tools we have deployed are known to protect organizations from their threats.? If you receive this letter, take these steps: 1?? DO NOT SCAN THE QR CODE!? 2?? Ensure your organization has a documented policy on how to handle a ransomware threat and that process is communicated to your employees.? 3??
