Saturday morning, six Aegis team members + two Aegis family members joined a larger group from the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Women in Healthcare for a volunteer event at LUCY Outreach in Camden where we cleaned, organized, painted, moved furniture, and did yard work. LUCY (Lifting Up Camden’s Youth) has multilingual, culturally inclusive programs for ages 7+, empowering youth through education, connection, and leadership. Thanks to Women in Healthcare PHL (where Aegis partner Jennifer Keddie is a Volunteer Co-Chair) for organizing and to LUCY outreach for having us and the amazing work you do in the community. #aegisvolunteers #womeninhealthcare #communityiseverything #dogoodhavefun

Last Tuesday Aegis Associate Craig Morton and Assistant Development Manager Julia Stoltzfus were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to open Elwyn’s Judy and Bill Strine Student Transition Center, which will support neurodiverse students. The Strine Center will provide students age 18-21 with training for employment opportunities, simulating jobs in food service, cashiering, technology, warehouse operations, and retail.
