AEEF community sincerely appreciates Huma Abidi for her generous initiative in establishing an endowed scholarship in honor of her beloved mother. This thoughtful gesture is a beautiful way to celebrate her legacy while making a lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged yet talented students. Huma your support for education will undoubtedly transform futures, and we hope it inspires others to honor their loved ones in a similarly meaningful way. What better way to honor your mother than by empowering young minds through education?
Honoring My Mother’s Legacy: The Razia Zaidi Endowed Scholarship On this International Women’s Day, I am deeply honored to announce?the Razia Zaidi Endowed Scholarship. She is an extraordinary role model—at a time when higher education for women in India was rare, she excelled, earning first position and a gold medal (her most cherished possession, pic attached) at the graduate school from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Established in Feb 2025, this *ongoing Merit-cum-Means Scholarship* will provide support every year to a *Female Engineering Student* at AMU or elsewhere in India, ensuring that financial limitations never hinder academic excellence. My heartfelt gratitude to the #AEEF Aligarh Education Endowment Fund and Dr. Shaheer Khan for his invaluable support in making this scholarship a reality. #RaziaZaidiScholarship #WomenInSTEM #EmpowermentThroughEducation #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInEngineering #BreakingBarriers #LifelongLearning

From AMU to Edinburgh: Mohd. Tabish's Inspiring Journey Mohd. Tabish’s story is a testament to how collective support can empower dreams. A brilliant student with a passion for mathematics, Tabish completed his B.Sc. from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), where his talent stood out. Determined to pursue advanced studies, he set his sights on the University of Edinburgh, one of the world's leading institutions, to work on his PhD in mathematics. Tabish’s path wasn’t easy, but the strong network of AMU alumni organizations played a crucial role in his journey. Through SSESA, Tabish received invaluable mentorship that helped him navigate the complex application process and prepare for a competitive academic environment. Recognizing his potential, AEEF (www.aeef.us) and AAANE (Boston) stepped in to support his travel to the UK, ensuring he could take this life-changing step. Today, Tabish is thriving as a PhD scholar, representing the rich legacy of AMU on the global stage. His success highlights the power of collaboration and the enduring spirit of AMU alumni in supporting aspiring students to achieve their goals. https://lnkd.in/giZyaYtG
