??URGENT ACTION ALERT: CLICK TO PROTECT MEDICAID SERVICES!?? ??Tell your Representative to oppose cuts to Medicaid by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/gKRxXdWk As early as this week, the House of Representatives plans to vote on a budget framework that would direct the Energy and Commerce Committee—the committee overseeing Medicaid—to cut at least $880 billion in spending. If passed, this would likely mean that the committee would have to consider drastic reductions to Medicaid funding, putting community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) at risk. If these cuts move forward, they would: ??Shift Medicaid costs to states, forcing them to consider cuts to provider rates and reductions of essential services. ??Threaten access to services, leading to longer waitlists. ??Put individuals with I/DD at risk of losing critical services that support them to live independently. These are not just numbers, they represent real people whose independence, access to care, and quality of life are at stake. Please advocate by clicking today to protect critical services.

Dear Friends of Advocates: This week, there was a devastating fire in the Thruway Building, and the entire Advocates’ Liverpool office suite is a total loss. We are infinitely grateful that everyone is safe. Thanks to the work of our dedicated employees, all Advocates’ services have continued without missing a beat. We remain steadfastly here for the people and families who are counting on us, and for our employees. For the foreseeable future, we will be operating from the Advocates’ Fayetteville office/Doug Klepper Community Center 300 South Manlius Street, Fayetteville, NY 13066 (315) 469-9931 Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5pm Many of you have generously asked what you can do to help.
