  • Project Spotlight ?? Serving students across Chicago Noble Schools are tuition-free, public charter schools open to all students that live in the city of Chicago. Recognized nationally for college access and persistence, Noble Schools serve more than 12,000 students and 26,000 alumni across 18 open-enrollment, free, public charter schools in Chicago. As a team of former Chicagoans, we were thrilled to partner with Noble over the past two years to design annual reports to support their optimistic, welcoming brand voice and highlight the accomplishments of the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years.

In an effort to keep more families and pets together, Mutual Rescue has officially launched a nationwide Spanish Language Accessibility Project. ?? ?? WHAT IS IT? A resource hub of over 40 printable handouts on pet health, pet care, and basic pet behavior subjects (litter box issues, resource guarding, etc) in Spanish. They have been translated by a native speaker at an easy-to-understand level. No AI for us! ?? WHY THE NEED? Animal shelters want useful information for their Spanish speaking clients, but do not have the resources to do it, so Mutual Rescue did it for them. We hope this will make shelters more accessible for the entire community and help keep more pets in loving homes. WHERE TO FIND? On Mutual Rescue's website under PROGRAMS (link below), shelters can download the resources they need, add their own logo to the top of the documents, and share with the public instantly. (COMING SOON! Videos for shelter workers on learning basic Spanish phrases to help assist more families that come through their doors.) ?? SPANISH LANGUAGE PROJECT LINK: https://lnkd.in/efaps3Wc Learn more about the project from our Shelter Program & Engagement Manager, Finnegan Dowling and our awesome translator, Daniel Luna. Mutual Rescue is dedicated to providing ongoing shelter resources so more animals are saved, and in return, animals can save more people. ??

  • Our team's commitment to professional development includes reading two books together each year. For our first 2025 book club session, David Brooks'?"How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen"?was voted to the top out of everyone's nominations. Do you have any recommendations for our next book? ?? We'd love to hear!

  • As a remote team, fostering connection is essential, so we intentionally create opportunities to learn and grow together. To achieve this, we follow a "3-2-1" approach: three days focused on professional development, two Zoom book club sessions, and one in-person retreat. Putting these activities on the calendar at the start of the year helps us prioritize them—even during our busiest times. We are excited to have all three opportunities already marked on our calendars for 2025!????

  • Project Spotlight ?? Placing School at the Center of Success Great Schools North Carolina (GSNC) removes barriers to success for both existing and new public charter schools by supporting leaders with strategic funding and collaborative partnership. This was a fun opportunity to work with a great team to design a logo and website in keeping with their contagious optimism. Kudos for your hard work getting this organization off the ground—we can’t wait to watch your impact continue to grow! ??
