I can't lie -- I was so excited to help out with the #NOLAPickleFest2024 this weekend! It really was impressive to see the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center transformed into a huge indoor #PickleBall stadium. Drew Brees & Keegan-Michael Key crushed it in the exhibition. They were great together -- very entertaining. Side note, I don't know why I was surprised that Drew would be such a natural performer, but I guess I haven't seen him do improv/crowd-work before? Anyway, that #MediaTraining paid off, cause he had the crowd rolling. ?? Also Drew used a frying pan as a paddle....that was hilarious! William Matlock,Wayan Barre, & Kewe Polo did a fantastic job with photo/video! Can't thank the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation enough for the opportunity! Congrats to GNOSF, b1BANK, New Orleans & Company, the Brees Dream Foundation, and everyone else who put it on for a successful event! Content Marketers -- System vs Creative -- which is more important? I see agency after agency talk about their full proof system, and very little talk about the creative strategy that goes into successful ad campaigns. What's that about? Are customers that concerned that you don't have a system? Seems like table stakes to me.... As opposed to being able able to quickly understand a client's market, their audience, their audience's pain points, and being able to bridge that gap. THAT sounds valuable. Maybe, these are just sales tactics -- but every agency says their system has a proven and repeatable process -- and they should right? Like, if you can'y repeat your process for another client, then what are you doing? How are you in business? Also -- the processes and tactics need to change so often in digital marketing, that I feel like every 3 months we are updating and adjusting our processes to ride the waves. IDK. Maybe its me, but I'd much rather talk about how to QUICKLY create great #content that resonates with my client's customer base. We're fresh off a trip to #LosAngeles to create content for an awesome organization called Tempus, whose doing powerful work for the #planet! They're partnering with large business to secure, repair and recycle older or broken #electronics. Last year alone, they kept 6 Million Pounds of #ewaste out of landfills -- and helped put thousands of laptops & computers back on the market! So dope! We filmed a ton and got some amazing interviews from their team. William Matlock even got to the drone around the warehouse! The thing I love the most about #MarketingServices is getting to know all of these awesome businesses around the country, and getting to tell stories that show off how passionate they are about what they do. Tempus is certainly one of the special ones!
