Under Quattlebaum’s leadership, the facility earned multiple accreditations, as well as “A” Hospital Safety Grades from the Leapfrog Group in 2023. Dr. Sharona Ross of AdventHealth Tampa recently received the 2024 CLP Outstanding Performance Award, and was one of only eight Cancer Liaison Physicians to earn the recognition. This award, from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, is presented to physicians who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving quality care for cancer patients. Congratulations, Dr. Ross!

We are happy to share that Erik Wangsness has been named president and CEO of AdventHealth Tampa, effective December 15, 2024: bit.ly/40SS3Tj Erik most recently served as president and CEO of AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, where he guided the development of the facility’s Graduate Medical Education program and provided oversight of a major expansion project currently underway. We look forward to Erik's impact in his new position as he builds on the strong foundation established by Bruce Bergherm and our AdventHealth Tampa team. Bruce will remain on campus to support the transition into the new year ahead of his retirement in early 2025. Please join us in congratulating Erik on this new role!

An AdventHealth Carrollwood nurse is celebrating a new certification that will help further elevate our bariatric care in the community. Anna Stafne, BSN, RN, is now a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN). The certificate was achieved through the American Society of Bariatric Surgery. Anna has been with AdventHealth for three years and helps educate and prepare our patients before surgery as a bariatric coordinator. Congratulations to Anna on this great accomplishment. We are excited to share that Shane Bedward has been named CEO of AdventHealth Dade City, effective November 17. As a hospital administrator and a chief operating officer, Shane has been instrumental in the growth of AdventHealth Dade City and AdventHealth Zephyrhills.
