Yesterday, our team of #fuelcell experts in Patras was pleased to welcome the Greek Minister of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, to our facilities. During his visit, Minister Pierrakakis learned about our company's history in Greece and received an overview of our innovative fuel cell products and their role in decarbonizing various industries by replacing diesel generators. He also participated in a live tour of our state-of-the-art facilities, focusing on the research and production of membranes, electrodes, and Membrane Electrode Assemblies, led by our SVP of Corporate Business Development, Dr. Nora Gourdoupi. #hydrogen #cleanenergy #energy

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Jean Bergevin's passing. Jean was a passionate advocate for #cleanenergy and a united #Europe. His dedication and commitment will always be remembered. Jean was a genuine European, an exceptionally skilled and dedicated civil servant and manager, and a true gentleman. His nearly 35 years of service as a Commission official were marked by his relentless efforts to shape and improve the Internal Market. Jean was one of the most important stakeholders and advocates of the IPCEI Hydrogen projects and strongly believed in the critical role that the development of the #hydrogen industry within Europe will play in securing energy independence and decarbonizing industries. We will deeply miss Jean’s expertise, dedication, and the warmth he brought to our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

? In a heatwave-struck Rome, HyPEF partners met up for the project’s first General Assembly to touch base on the progress of the project’s activities. ?? The discussion around one of HyPEF’s core tasks - the selection of hydrogen product categories (and sub-categories) for which to write up the (first ever) Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules - took centre stage. An extensive brainstorming session offered multiple insights on which criteria to use for the selection of categories to ensure HyPEF's picks: ? meet the Clean Hydrogen Partnership's expectations, ?? are representatives of likely routes and technologies for the future deployment of clean #hydrogen, ?? support the qualification of hydrogen products as a sustainable investment! Other hot topics of the meeting included: ??Updates on the newly constituted Advisory Working Group ??Future stakeholder engagement activities to validate HyPEF’s methodological research ??Upcoming communication and dissemination actions to enhance visibility of the project’s methodological advancements in #LCA and benchmarking of hydrogen-related products. ?? Here's an update from the 2nd #Hydrogen School in #Kozani, Greece, which we proudly co-organize with CluBE-Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia and University of Western Macedonia. On July 2, our Chairman and CEO, Dr. Vasilis Gregoriou participated in an insightful panel session and delivered a presentation focusing on the development of the hydrogen economy. Christos Chochos, Director of Research, and Stavros Katsiaounis, Senior Product Development Engineer, also presented. The event concluded with a social after-party, during which speakers, students, and esteemed guests—including journalists, business representatives, and politicians—engaged in insightful discussions about the future of clean energy in the region and Advent’s role in it. The Regional Governor of Western Macedonia, Mr. Georgios Amanatidis, attended the event and received a live demonstration of our #fuelcells from our CEO and technical experts. On July 3, the day began with a special event in the university's outdoor area, featuring a speech by Dr. Gregoriou and a hands-on live demo of our innovative products. This was followed by presentations from Dr. Nora Gourdoupi, SVP Corporate Business Development, Michael Trontzos, Director of Global Marketing, Vasilis G. Kopelas, VP of Strategy and Business Development, and Dr. Olga Bereketidou Public Funding & Regional Manager. The Advent team is thrilled by the enthusiasm and high attendance of all participants and looks forward to expanding its presence in the area. We are just beginning our journey towards what we envision as a long and incredibly fruitful collaboration with the local community!

As part of the 2nd Hydrogen Summer School taking place this week in Kozani, Greece, Advent's presence began with our Chairman and CEO, Dr. Vasilis Gregoriou participating in a panel discussion focused on the opportunities, challenges, and applications of the hydrogen economy and related products, as well as recent developments in the R&D sector. The panel discussion featured business and academic hydrogen and clean energy experts, including Savvas Peltekis (Managing Director, TüV HELLAS), Dr. Savvas Douvartzides (Associate Professor, University of Western Macedonia), and Dr. George Marnellos (Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). On June 17, Dr. Emory De Castro, Chief Technology Officer of Advent, will present at the 27th Annual TechConnect World Innovation Conference and Expo. This event will be hosted at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, USA. Dr. De Castro’s presentation, titled "#FuelCells with Superior Heat Rejection," will be part of the Fuel Cells & #Hydrogen Symposium. His talk will highlight the unique thermal management characteristics of Advent's?high-temperature proton exchange membrane (HT-PEM) fuel cell technology that uses Ion Pair?
