Our Civic Engagement team hosted a PAVA Youth Voter Registration training, equipping young leaders with the knowledge and skills to assist their communities in the voter registration process. Last weekend, the training covered a voter registration presentation and hands-on practice to ensure participants felt confident in their outreach efforts. Following the training, PAVA Youth put their skills into action by hosting a voter registration and update drive at Atlanta Bethel Church, helping community members register and ensure their information was up to date ?. #AdvancingJusticeATL

CAIR-Georgia, Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta File Title VI Civil Rights Complaint Against Fulton County School District. Samantha Hamilton, Staff Attorney on Advancing Justice-Atlanta’s Impact Litigation team said, “Children deserve to be protected by the adults who are tasked with their education and care. Fulton County Schools has failed in its mission to do so for our clients, some of whom are as young as 10 years old. If a young Palestinian girl wants to wear a shirt representing her heritage and/or ties to her national origin or ancestry, she should be allowed to do so without being in fear of the people around her.
