Advanced Resources, you did it again! ?? A week later, I’m still reflecting on the powerful information exchange during the “Don’t Survive the Chaos: Effectively Maximize Organizational Change” event. The panel, led by Rich brought together #leaders at the forefront of #changemanagement who have the battle scars and proven victories to engage in a meaningful discussion about how organizations can navigate chaos and implement effective change management strategies IRL. Here are my hot takes: ? Connor Lawrie emphasized the importance of being #cultureforward. My Take: I couldn’t agree more! Culture is not only driven by your most engaged employees—every person in a team can bring it forward or push it back. ? Laura Zeligman shared that having the right governance in a change initiative is crucial for when things go wrong, not if they go wrong. My Take: This is real talk! Change is a process, not an event. Inevitably, things will deviate from plans. A great change management practitioner with dedicated resources can get you out of those inevitable jams. In my opinion, getting the governance and roles and responsibilities right is often glossed over but pays dividends in change initiatives. ? Bill Davidson emphasized the importance of focusing on the “why” behind change and reminded us that even executives don’t like change. ?? No surprise to me! ? Mark Salisbury advised keeping things simple, relatable, avoiding the “alphabet soup” of terms to ensure that messages are sticky and tied to people’s work. My Take: Both Bill and Mark stressed the importance of #communications with an emphasis on #storytelling. I love this! Often, meaningful authentic communication is replaced by corporate speak that doesn’t get to the “why” and really motivate someone to do something different. Events like these make us better by sharing learnings, openly discussing challenges, and bringing change management experts together. It’s through these discussions that we can truly understand the complexities of change management and find innovative solutions. Cheers to ending the 2024 thought leadership series on a high note! ?? #changemanagement #thoughtleadership

Thank You for Making Our Final Thought Leadership Event of 2024 a Success – We Look Forward to Seeing You in 2025! As our last Thought Leadership event of the year, "Don't Survive the Chaos: Effectively Maximize Organizational Change" marked a fitting conclusion to 2024, bringing together industry leaders to share strategies on navigating and leveraging change. Due to high interest, we reached capacity but are excited to continue these enriching discussions in 2025! Event Highlights: Our expert panelists, including Laura Zeligman from McDonald's, Bill Davidson from Crash Champions, Connor Lawrie from Heartland Veterinary Partners , and Mark Salisbury from Transdev, shared invaluable insights on leading through transformation. Their real-world experiences and perspectives illuminated essential strategies for implementing sustainable change, addressing resistance, and aligning change with organizational vision. Key Takeaways: ? Vision and Strategy: Leaders emphasized starting with a clear, purpose-driven strategy that resonates throughout the organization, making change meaningful to each team member’s daily work. ? Leadership’s Role in Change: Each panelist highlighted the importance of involving both top-down and grassroots levels in change initiatives, supported by change champions and dedicated resources. ? Sustaining Change Efforts: From frameworks like Kotter’s 8 Steps to embedding a supportive culture, the conversation centered on how organizations can make change efforts long-lasting and beneficial. Thank you to all who attended, engaged, and contributed to the success of this event. We’re grateful for your interest and participation, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back for more Thought Leadership events in 2025!
