This marks the second year in a row that?employer-sponsored health insurance premiums?are up 7% to reach an average of $25,572 annually, according to KFF's annual survey,?2024 KFF Employer Health Benefit Survey. Premiums jumped 7% — the biggest increase the survey reported since 2011 – in 2024, same as last year." THIS IS A PACE THAT DOUBLES YOUR COSTS EVERY 10 YEARS. (Rule of 72, folks). And from my chair, I am seeing renewals that are WAY above 7%1 The status quo programs (BUCAs and the like, the Big 3 PBMs and models like them) WANT and NEED this to happen. They make more $$ when you spend more $$. And they have zero cost controls to attack the price of medical and pharmacy claims - again, because they don't want to have cost controls, and their clients are the Health Systems and the pharmaceutical companies, not the employers who pay their bills.
