In the past few months, we have been fortunate to have two of our papers on Composite Metal Foams being selected for the cover story of Advanced Engineering Materials and today we have our third paper being selected by the editors as the cover story for Journal of Composite Science. We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing facility located in Raleigh, NC. Advanced Materials Manufacturing (AMM) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and hands-on mechanical/ manufacturing engineer to participate in a growing startup in Raleigh, North Carolina. Experience and understanding of the design, manufacturing, and post-processing of metals will put a candidate in the preferred category. The engineer will be responsible for design and manufacturing and take part in research, development, and commercialization. For more information, please reach out to [email protected]. The ideal candidate would have: Design, CAD, Solidworks, and modeling knowledge and experience Hands on manufacturing materials experience. Hands-on engineering and problem-solving expertise. Excellent English writing skills Excellent R&D and ability to literature survey both online and offline Minimum Requirements: Manufacturing, Mechanical, or materials engineering with a Master's or PhD degree and 2 years of experience or internship in manufacturing. Our engineers do not just sit at a desk and design, they get involved. Good English writing skills US citizenship Responsibilities include: Participate in manufacturing and product development efforts. Complete engineering, R&D-related tasks, proposal writing. Tasks include designing parts and fixtures, writing project reports and proposals, completing financial projections, etc. Work with outside vendors to source equipment, materials, service providers, etc. Our engineers do not sit at the desk all day.
