The Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC) of Edmonds College is dedicated to offering short term, high-impact manufacturing training to the community. We are building the necessary workforce to help local companies thrive, while offering students the chance to earn satisfying, family-wage jobs in a growing and exciting industry. At the AMSC, students can acquire the skills they need to get hired in some of Washington state's top manufacturing sectors - Aerospace, Creative Technology, Marine (new for 2023), and AI & Robotics. AMSC has a strong connection to the industry, enabling it to have top instructors, cutting-edge technology, and the most current industry knowledge. In many of the AMSC programs, students will also achieve college credit and Certificates of Completion.

I am thrilled to step into my role as the Executive Director of the Washington Aerospace Training and Research Center (AMSC/WATR), especially at such a pivotal moment. Today, we celebrated the unveiling of our new Fuselage Lab, featuring a fully enclosed Boeing 767 fuselage donated by the Boeing Company. This incredible addition will significantly enhance our educational programs and open new doors for hands-on learning experiences. I want to express my gratitude to Executive Dave Somers, Mayor Cassie Franklin, Congressman Rick Larsen, and Dr. Amit Singh, President of Edmonds College, for their supportive and inspiring remarks at the ceremony.
