Training the next generation of manufacturers and more

关于我们

The Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center (AMSC) of Edmonds College is dedicated to offering short term, high-impact manufacturing training to the community. We are building the necessary workforce to help local companies thrive, while offering students the chance to earn satisfying, family-wage jobs in a growing and exciting industry. At the AMSC, students can acquire the skills they need to get hired in some of Washington state's top manufacturing sectors - Aerospace, Creative Technology, Marine (new for 2023), and AI & Robotics. AMSC has a strong connection to the industry, enabling it to have top instructors, cutting-edge technology, and the most current industry knowledge. In many of the AMSC programs, students will also achieve college credit and Certificates of Completion.

  • It was a great honor for us to play a role in helping the Alvarado Family achieve their dream of homeownership! Over the course of this journey, five cohorts of students from our Construction pre-Apprenticeship Program (CAP) have contributed their newfound skills to transform this house -- from demolition to completion. That's the power of community and collaboration!

It was a joy to gather with our community this past weekend to celebrate the dedication of our Bayside Home! With construction nearly complete and the home closing process underway, the Alvarado Family is one step closer to purchasing and moving into their new home! Thank you to our volunteer builders, sponsors, donors, neighbors, city leaders and all of you who came together to build this home. Through your investments of funding, materials, skills and time, we will be able to provide a strong foundation for a hard-working family to build their future. With the rising costs of construction, homeownership has become a nearly impossible goal while many of our low and fixed-income neighbors including veterans, seniors and families with disabilities struggle to remain in their homes. With your support, families can achieve the housing stability they need to thrive in safe, healthy and affordable homes. During our Season of Giving Campaign, our goal is to raise $100,000 by December 31st to empower hard-working households like the Alvarado Family to achieve their dreams of purchasing their own affordable home. Would you be willing to make a special year-end contribution to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter? Your gift moves us closer to our vision where everyone has a decent place to live. Please join us by making your gift through the button below! Thank you for your continued support! https://lnkd.in/dj-68CQm With gratitude, Steven Li Executive Director Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County
