Advanced Manufacturing at ACC is a comprehensive program that offers credit and non-credit pathways to meet your academic and career goals. Our program features industry partnerships with local employers like Samsung Semiconductor, Applied Materials, and Tesla. ACC is making more waves in the semiconductor industry, thanks to $1.5 million in federal funding secured by U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett. The funding will expand ACC’s semiconductor training programs, adding cutting-edge equipment to the NXP Advanced Manufacturing Lab and upgrading facilities. “This funding will help ACC reflect the capabilities of modern semiconductor processes and meet the industry and workforce needs,” says Doggett. “The power of educators leading in our semiconductor training is that when you talk about AI or chips, it feels intimidating. No one knows what that means. When you bring funding to a space like this and (to) ACC, it makes sense. You learn with your hands and realize I can do that.
