International Civil Aviation Organization recently organised the first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium 2024, which was a resounding success. Participants from all over the globe came together to and talked about ways to make this great technology a near reality. I am glad to share that a few of my colleagues from the Advanced Air Mobility Institute attended and spoke with impact at the event. Dr Oleksandra Molloy and Brie O'Sullivan, you were awesome! I would specifically like to mention the keynote by Dan Grande Sloat, JD/MBA MRAeS (Founder and President of Advanced Air Mobility Institute) where he presented AAM technology as an analogy to elevators and emphasised on the importance of Advanced Air Mobility to reach across the world with a solid reference to Article 27(1) of the UDHR which says, "Everyone has the right to share in the benefits of our collective scientific achievements". His words resonate perfectly with the mission of Advanced Air Mobility Institute. #AAMI #Aerospace #ICAO #AAM2024

What a fantastic event that the International Civil Aviation Organization put on this past week about #AdvancedAirMobility. The fact that this was the largest event ICAO has ever hosted sends a clear message that we as a community want this industry to succeed. There were sessions outlining the need for these technologies in inaccessible areas such as rural Madagascar (amazing talk Brie O'Sullivan!), the human factors challenges we will experience as we transition to more autonomy (Oleksandra Molloy), the considerations the insurance industry will need to make for AAM to operate (Katherine Ayre), the steps we will need to take to reach adoption (not acceptance) and build public trust (parimal kopardekar and Bianca Schuchardt), and even a great elevator pitch by Dan Sloat,). While events like this are great as it shines a spotlight on the industry, it is the work done when people aren't watching that determines if we will achieve our goals. Wow! We have had a lot of highlights here at Future Mobility Ireland but this has to be my personal favourite: FMCI getting a shout out on this years Leaving Certificate Engineering Project. This year's project is to design an eVTOL aircraft! This surely must be a world's first for a Secondary Level/High School education exam. Hopefully this will encourage the next generation of engineers to be a part of this exciting industry. That’s a wrap for the 2024 ICAO Unmanned Aviation & Advanced Air Mobility at the International Civil Aviation Organization headquarters in Montreal ????! Key takeaways: ?? Almost 1500 participants from 193 members countries (too many people to tag ??). I appreciate meeting amazing friends and colleagues who are passionate about the future of aviation from around the world! ?????? ??Great catching up with my ???? colleagues - Paul Hibberd from Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Dale Sheridan of AAM Policy of Australia's Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, Chris Smallhorn - a Chairman from AMSL Aero, as well as ANRA Technologies - Brent Klavon and Amit Ganjoo. ????????????Congratulations to the organisers for this great success - biggest conference for the last 80 years of ICAO! You’re team have put enormous amount of work to out it together! This event wil mark the beginning of many future events in #unmanned #aviation and #advancedairmobility! ??We’ve heard from speakers and panelists - experts from the governments, industry and academia for over 4 days and generated a Call to Action at the wrap-up session! Drum roll ?? ?????? Presenting my latest design, the... (oops, doesn't have a name). ?? However, it is a concept vtol design that I've been working on intermittently for about a month and a half. The decision to create this concept came from my new found enthusiasm and awe for all the work been done in the Air Mobility since my introduction to the industry earlier this year. So many amazing concepts and amazing people working tirelessly to bring their ideas to life. Big shout out to all of you! And especially the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, for its amazing work advocating for innovation that serves humanity through the aviation ecosystem globally. ?? . . My design is a 4-6 seater passenger hybrid vtol designed for safety, luxury and efficiency while commuting in the skies. I have drawn inspiration from many vtol concepts and even cars to make this one. Again, model is created in Onshape, a PTC Technology and renderings on Keyshot. I intend to leave a mark on the future of Air mobility for Africa and the world and my work at Titan Air Mobility is a major step in that direction.
