?? CITYMET rocked it! Last Friday, I had the honour to collect the #PremiosJóvenesMáshumano contest final award, from Fundación máshumano in the CRISALION category, on behalf of #CITYMET. Our #preseed #startup, willing to change the #meteorology within #aviation, has been awarded based on the business model and the main goals to be achieved, as: ??to shape micro-weather services within #AAM, ??to establish new data-services within #Smartcities, and, ??to change weather forecast at safety-critical operational phases within #airports. As said by Carlos Poveda Rey on behalf of #CRISALION during the ceremony, this is a long way to be walked, but entrepreneurs are there to shape #innovation from #ideas, just from scratch. Thanks again to the organizers and to the rest of contestants, it was a pleasure to walk this way together.

Exciting Day at Air Expo 2024 in Abu Dhabi! I had the pleasure of attending the Air Expo 2024 at ADNEC, where I had an inspiring conversation with Dan Grande Sloat, JD/MBA MRAeS founder of the AAM Institute and a leading voice in sustainable aviation. We explored the future growth of the eVTOL and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industries, and I couldn’t be more optimistic about what lies ahead. The discussions reinforced how innovation and sustainability are shaping the aviation sector in remarkable ways. It was fantastic to connect with Dan and be surrounded by individuals who are truly shaping the future of flight. Here’s to driving progress in this exciting industry!

"The Next Move (s)" With the growth of the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) market, the industry is now facing several challenges, particularly how to scale production without straining the legacy aerospace supply chain, which has changed significantly due to recent acquisitions and mergers that not only reduced the options available but also raised the costs. While investment in vertical processes might provide a temporary solution, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are focused on operating their own aircraft when they cross the FAA barrier and all the regulations. Creating an efficient and quality-oriented production line for components may prove to become burdensome, especially when it involves reinvesting in technology and personnel. The “chess game” doesn’t end there; the next steps will require careful consideration of aftermarket services, maintenance, and replacement parts programs within the supply chain making sure the same errors from our present will not bring our industry to a checkmate. #aam #manufacturing #aerospace
