Farmington-based Mott Corporation has announced the opening of their new 65,000-square-foot facility, which will significantly boost production capacity for green hydrogen components. This expansion is a major step in growing their clean energy business, creating up to 100 new jobs, and further solidifying Connecticut’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing and innovation. “This new facility will cement Mott’s leadership in clean energy development while enhancing Connecticut’s reputation as a hub of innovation and manufacturing,” said Boris Levin, Mott’s Chairman and CEO. https://lnkd.in/d23WNvt8

Congratulations to CBIA member Mott Corporation on the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new state-of-the-art facility in Farmington. The facility will produce ultra-thin, porous metal sheets which are a critical component of green hydrogen generation. East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney just secured a $1.3 billion contract from the US Navy for F135 engine core upgrades – the sole-source engine powering the F-35 fighter jet. ?? More than 60% of the work will happen right here in Connecticut, spread across Pratt's three CT locations: East Hartford (53%), Middletown (7%), and Windsor Locks (6%). This contract covers design, testing, hardware development, and airworthiness evaluation. To date, Pratt & Whitney has delivered over 1,200 F135 engines, logging more than 900,000 flight hours! ??
