As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m reflecting with deep gratitude on the values and traditions that have shaped who I am. Being both Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian, I take pride in my heritage. This year, I’m especially mindful of the sacrifices my grandparents made when they immigrated to the United States from Ecuador. Their tireless work and perseverance not only supported our family but also paved the way for me to become the first college graduate in our family and pursue a career I’m truly passionate about.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to honor our rich culture, our history, and the incredible contributions of the Hispanic community. For me, it’s also a time to acknowledge the network of mentors, sponsors, and supporters who have been there throughout my journey. I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering love of my Hispanic friends, family, and especially my grandparents, whose perseverance and hard work continue to inspire me every day.
As we celebrate this month, let’s continue to uplift and support one another, while recognizing the strength and resilience of our community. ?Pa’lante! #HispanicHeritageMonth?
