Meet this year’s Local Heroes: ?? Scotland: GLORIAH – Revolutionising menopause care with plastic-free, biodegradable packaging and a commitment to net-zero by 2027. ?? Northern Ireland: The Boatyard Distillery – Northern Ireland’s only B Corp distillery, rewarding customers with refillable pouches to reduce waste. ?? North: Suma Wholefoods – A worker-owned cooperative championing Net Zero by 2035 while supporting community clean-ups and food banks. ?? Midlands: Penrhos Spirits – Turning wonky fruit into premium gin with zero-waste practices and 100% recycled aluminium bottles. ?? Wales: Halen M?n – B Corp certified, reusing water and championing sustainable food careers. ?? London: Seep – Plastic-free, compostable cleaning products setting new standards for the cleaning tools category. ?? South East: Green Doors – Transforming discarded doors into high-quality products, tackling construction waste one door at a time. ?? South West: Grace & Green – Sustainable period products championing menstrual dignity and inclusivity. These inspiring businesses will receive £20,000 of TV advertising through AdSmart from Sky, helping them raise awareness and amplify their sustainability stories to local audiences.
