I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be attending the IAAPA Expo this year and am honored to have been conferred with the IAAPA Certified Attractions Professional (ICAP) designation! The ICAP designation is recognized as the gold standard in validating expertise, knowledge, and skills within the attractions industry. I’m proud to have achieved this milestone. This certification underscores my commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving excellence across the industry. A heartfelt thank you to the Adler Planetarium and Ryu Mizuno for their unwavering support of my career and professional growth. Your belief in me has been instrumental in achieving this accomplishment, and I’m deeply grateful to be part of a team and organization that values development and innovation. Looking forward to connecting with fellow professionals and Alissa DeMeglio at the conference to exchange ideas, insights, and inspiration. If you’ll be at IAAPA, let’s meet up and chat! #IAAPAExpo #ICAP #GuestExperience #AttractionsIndustry #ProfessionalGrowth #Gratitude

关于我们
The Adler Planetarium connects people to the universe and each other. Whether it is introducing a guest to the Ring Nebula, a neighborhood school to a community partner, a research team to a network of citizen scientists, or one staff member to another, the Adler’s focus on meaningful connections dates back nearly a century. The museum typically hosts more than half a million visitors each year and reaches millions more through youth STEAM programs, neighborhood skywatching events, people-powered research, and other outreach efforts. Today, the Adler is bringing our unique approach—scientific exploration rooted in community and connection—to guests from around the world who can enjoy the digital Adler from their own homes, libraries, schools or offices. With the Adler’s support, people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities gain the confidence to explore their universe together and return to their communities ready to think critically and creatively about any challenge that comes their way. Keep looking up. We’re looking up with you.

A few weeks ago, the Shedd Aquarium Academy Interns visited the Adler Planetarium to explore Photovoice through the Little Village Night Sky exhibit. This approach uses photography and personal stories to help youth share their views on community environmental issues and brainstorm solutions. Shedd’s interns plan to incorporate Photovoice into their conservation project. I’m always happy to share my experience facilitating this project in Chicago’s Little Village. It’s truly inspiring to see how the Youth Organization for Lights Out's Photovoice initiative is encouraging other youth groups to bring Photovoice into their own science and community-driven projects. #YouthEmpowerment #ScienceEngagement #CommunityImpact #Photovoice

???? Would you have been fooled?? In 1938—exactly 86 years ago today—a dramatization of H.G. Wells's novel, The War of the Worlds, was broadcast live on CBS radio network. ??? Even though this was clearly a work of fiction, some listeners truly believed the world was under attack. ?? 1,349 handwritten letters were sent to Orson Welles reacting to this broadcast! Recently over a thousand Adler Zooniverse volunteers transcribed these letters that are now preserved and readable through the University of Michigan Library. ??
