    If Carlsberg did accounting events. So last week I went down to Engager Labs in Liverpool, as we are currently integrating engager into our practice, and certainly was not disappointed and many of the software "big players" could learn a thing or 2 about what Johann Goree is doing with engager in the accounting space. Main takeaways were: 1. It was not in London so you did not have to sell a kidney to pay for your train fare and hotel. 2. Vendors there were not just there because they could pay for a stall, they were there as the integrate and work well with Engager.app so all were worth speaking to without any hard sell. 3. Great selection of speakers, without just the usual suspects involved again all relevant to working with engager and useful insights into the current state of the nation so to speak. 4. Great venue, not packed to rafters with folk trying to scan you, plenty of opportunity to catch up with pals and network. All in all a very worthwhile day out of the office and let me make some big decisions I had been pondering for some time, as I have been concerned about some apps/software we have used for years where the cost has shot up, but service, support and product development has really dropped off so will be having a shake up of our app stack and considering the following: Dext moving to Apron GoCardless to Adfin GoProposal to Socket Taxcalc AML to Xama AML Brightpay to Buddy HR So would certainly recommend going to the next #EngagerLabs if its on next year. Well done to the Engager team for putting on a great event. Keep it up.

    Founding team - GTM @ Adfin | Helping billers get paid

    I met Donna Beddis FCCA last May at the very first event we ever exhibited at, Accountex London. Back then, we had just started building Adfin. We had a general sense of the direction we wanted to take but weren’t entirely sure. We used the event as an opportunity to meet new people and gather feedback on their pains and challenges. Donna was one of the people who took the time to share her feedback, provide insightful information, and, kindly enough, test our beta product. Today Adfin is being used by hundreds of accountants and bookkeeping practices for getting their invoices paid and thankfulyl that every week we are onboarding more and more practices! It was great to meet you again, show all the progress we’ve made since then, and share everything we’re currently cooking at Adfin (more to come soon, lots of exciting announcements) Thank you, Donna, for being so kind, and really excited to support you with Confessions of an Accountant, which I see is growing fast as well!
