Adden Energy welcomed our new Chief Product Officer, Dr Pu Zhang, to the team this week. Pu is one of the world's leading experts in sulfide solid-state battery cell design and processing. In this role, he will lead the transition of our extreme-fast-charging batteries from prototypes to full-scale automotive products. Material Design Principles for Solid-State Lithium-Metal Batteries with William Fitzhugh from Adden Energy. This talk will discuss design principles for solid-electrolyte to enable safe solid-state lithium-metal batteries. Particularly, safety features necessary for adoption by the automotive industry and how solid-state lithium-metal batteries can achieve these will be explored. Adden Energy, along with our partner Harvard University, has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to further the development of our extreme-fast-charging solid-state batteries. Our batteries are already the world’s fastest lithium metal cells, charging in under 10 minutes.
