A 72” long load table lets multiple operators work simultaneously, boosting efficiency. In this setup, the machine expertly seals the bottom of cartons with hot melt glue while securing the top flaps with our machine-driven tablock tuck closing plows. Here's a nifty piece of robotic cookie/cracker #packaging equipment that uses a unique gripper to pick entire slugs of product and place them into thermoformed trays. Called COOKIEBOT, this system resides at ZoRoCo Packaging, a contract packager who developed the capability for N.Y.-based Partake Foods, a cookie, wafer and cracker brand that caters to the underserved allergen-free foods market. At the heart of the line is Royal Houdijk robotic pick-and-place system featuring the specialty SLUG GRIPPERS. Also contributing to the line is processing equipment from Reading Bakery Systems, and packaging equipment from Videojet Technologies, Loma Systems, ADCO Manufacturing, Douglas Machine Inc., SACMI Packaging & Chocolate S.p.A., Tramper Technology. Controls on this line come from Beckhoff Automation, and Medalist Engineering, P.C. consulted on the project. We first spotted this equipment at PACK EXPO in Chicago a few months ago.
