First, a special shout out to the team of volunteers from AAF Houston who hosted their annual student conference over the weekend. And to the students from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas who turned up to learn about the industry into which they are about to embark. I was fortunate to be a judge at the student team competition, reviewing team’s pitch, plan, and creative proposals for a real client. Every team brought fresh thinking, great insights, and a lot of spirit, and it was an honor and privilege to play a part in this important event. Earlier in the week I was also able to catch up with AAF-Houston and Ad 2 Houston at their Pickleball mixer. We sponsored the event so it only made sense that a couple of us would show up to be publicly shamed on the pickleball court. ?? I was also fortunate enough to walk away from their silent auction with this great hand-illustrated pickleball paddle graciously illustrated by the talented Maggie Callahan.
