PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT Artificial muscles of the past have been limited by their bulky, heavy, and expensive infrastructure requirements. Adaract is eliminating these constraints to unleash artificial muscle actuation. Today we are announcing 2 new fluid power products to complete Adaract’s suite of high performance actuation products: Our IPM200 Compact Hydraulic Power Unit and our Microhydraulic Valves. Whether using these products in a system with our actuators or standalone, the potential for size, weight, and cost reduction is unmatched. IPM200 Compact Hydraulic Power Unit: Adaract’s highly integrated power units, in which a high-pressure pump is fully contained within a frameless BLDC motor, allow for compact 200 watt systems with a weight of ~1 lb and a footprint smaller than a baseball. APCV5 Microhydraulic Valve: A low power consumption (<5 watt), low weight (67 g) valve allows for effective control of hydraulic circuits with pressures of up to 3,000 psi. Artificial Muscle Actuators: Weighing as little as a penny and as thin as a shoelace, these actuators offer a clean, compliant way to harness high force-density (up to 20,000:1), which is 3-20x higher than other industry-leading actuators.
