Congratulations to the Legacy High School Counseling team that has become a Recognized ASCA Model Program? (RAMP?). The American School Counseling Association (ASCA) recognizes schools that are committed to delivering an exemplary school counseling program through the RAMP? designation. Honorees are awarded for aligning their program with the criteria in the ASCA National Model?, a framework for a data-informed school counseling program. Research findings indicate fully implemented school counseling programs are associated with a range of positive student educational and behavioral outcomes. The Legacy High School Counseling team worked hard to achieve the RAMP? designation and will be honored at a recognition ceremony at ASCA’s Annual Conference in Long Beach, Calif., on July 14, 2025. Adams 12 Five Star Schools and the LHS community values the contributions of the Legacy counseling team to support all students. Legacy High School will now join fellow Adams 12 Five Star Schools RAMP? school, Rocky Top Middle School, and 9 other schools in Colorado as a RAMP? School. #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

A few months ago, Wish for Wheels generously provided new bikes and helmets to all 2nd-grade students at Leroy Elementary. To further share this joy, they donated additional bikes, which we decided to distribute creatively among other students. We invited parents to complete the Panorama survey, offering an entry into a drawing for a mystery prize upon completion. One student from each class was selected to receive a bike, spreading excitement and appreciation throughout our school community. #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

The Student Leadership Council at Arapahoe Ridge Elementary teamed up with Food for Hope during the month of February to collect sweet treats like fruit snacks, granola bars, cereal, pancake mix, applesauce, and more. Thanks to the generosity of our students and families, we were able to collect an incredible 376 items! A special shoutout to Kindergarten, who won the grade-level challenge by bringing in 96 items! To celebrate their outstanding effort, they’ll be treated to a “sweet” surprise! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this food drive a huge success! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

Pathways Future Center School recently hosted an Anti-Smoking/Vaping Day, in partnership with the Adams County Health Department and Chick-fil-A on 120th. The event featured two tables: one with a visual aid of a fake cigarette and a paper pledge for students to commit to not smoking, while the other table, hosted by the health department, offered helpful resources and swag. A total of 18 students signed the pledge to stay smoke-free. As a special incentive, Chick-fil-A will celebrate the students who remain smoke-free, with a follow-up check-in in a week or so to see how they're doing. It was a great day to raise awareness and support healthy choices! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

We have a integral club at Prairie Hills Elementary that is making our school No Place for Hate. In October, our No Place for Hate student leaders went into every classroom at Prairie Hills to share Trudy Ludwig's book, "The Power of One." Students learned that even one small act of kindness can have have a ripple effect across the community. They also led each class in planting seeds, naming their seeds, and writing care instructions for the seeds as if they were a student in their classroom. Our No Place for Hate students have been taking excellent care of the tower garden. They check the water reservoir weekly and refill it, as well as test the PH levels of the water and help to add acid or base to have optimal growth. It has been amazing to watch our school-wide community tower garden grow, and also watch acts of kindness spread across our school. We are hoping to grow it large enough to be able to have a school-wide harvest and feast just like they did in the book! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

Laissez les bon temps rouler! The Westview Wildcats celebrated Mardi Gras. They made bead dogs and masks in art class with Mrs. Foret and listened to a read aloud with Mrs. Patrick that taught them about the history of Mardi Gras traditions. They ended the day with their annual Mardi Gras parade where staff, students, and families came together to let the good times roll! #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud

What a fun and exciting day it was for students at the second annual Cops vs Kids basketball game at Thornton Middle School! The kids came with energy, and the Thornton Police officers brought their A-game, but most importantly, we all came together to build stronger bonds in our community. From epic plays to friendly trash talk, the event was filled with laughs, teamwork, and unforgettable moments. And there may even be some future professional talent among the TMS kids! A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this event possible. Special shoutout to the officers for showing they have mad skills beyond the badge! Can't wait for next year’s showdown when the TMS kids defend their title... again. #ELEVATESuccess #FiveStarProud
