The Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute (ADAI) is a multidisciplinary research institute in the University of Washington School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. Our mission is to advance research, policy, and practice in order to improve the lives of individuals and communities affected by alcohol and drug use and addiction. We believe that harms related to substance use are preventable and treatable and that research plays a vital role in developing real-world solutions. We strive to infuse the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all our endeavors.

Today, with the help of partners in Chelan and Douglas counties, we're launching the first of three videos that follow the stories of individuals in our region who previously struggled with substance use and have since found recovery.
