    Another great way to make an impact during Earth Month – help pay it forward and empower the youth movement! We believe in the power of young people to drive real change, and data (such as from Potential Energy Coalition) continues to show that love for the next generation is the most compelling message even within a divisive environment. This April (17–30), Ad Net Zero supporter?Legacy Youth Leadership?is getting?5,000+ high school students?to take action for our?Climate Impact Campaign, giving them the skills and opportunity to take bold steps toward sustainability by making?pledges. Students will choose to: -Take shorter showers to reduce water waste -Eat plant-based meals?to lower carbon emissions -Take sustainable transportation—biking, walking, e-scooters, and more -Commit to plastic waste reduction—rethinking consumption habits For every student who participates, a $10 donation (funded by partners) will directly support?TreePeople Wildfire Resilience Fund, helping restore and protect forestland lost to recent fires in LA. Here’s where you come in! We’re looking for?mission-driven brands?in?sustainability, mobility, outdoor gear, apparel, and marketing agencies?that want to?amplify this impact?while gaining?high-visibility?across schools, digital media, and PR efforts (25M+ impressions!).     Happy Friday! ?? As you'll likely have heard about, Ad Net Zero hosted sessions focusing on the intersection of AI and sustainability across Q1, featuring some fantastic speakers from Google, ITV, Scope3, 4As, ISBA, Reckitt, MurphyCobb, Havas, Public Good, Advertising Production Resources (aka APR Consulting) and the Advertising Association. ?? Now those sessions have come to an end we wanted to spotlight our writeup and short clips from said sessions. ?? These 4 minute videos are intended to give you a flavour of what was discussed at these 1-hour sessions, the full recordings of which are available to Ad Net Zero supporters on demand. ?? While we billed this trio of sessions as 'Exploratory' due to the rapidly developing and relatively new nature of the GenAI space, we wanted to maintain our actionable approach and offer tangible actions one can implement to minimise the environmental impact of their AI usage at work. ?? This included things such as: ? Reduce the energy requirement of your prompt by adding 'Respond to this in a concise manner' or 'Tell me in 3 bullet points'- the size of the response reflects the size of the model and the energy required to answer your query. ?? Limit the number of prompts your teams can give an AI/GenAI model per day. ?? Choose the right model for the right task, selecting these based on their sustainability credentials via 'leaderboards' such as Hugging Face’s AI Energy Score chart- https://lnkd.in/ebecCbyB ??     Important changes are coming to the Science Based Targets initiative Net-Zero Standard, and now is the time to weigh in. The draft Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2 is open for public consultation until June 1, offering an opportunity to help shape the future of corporate decarbonization. This update aims to maintain the integrity of real emissions reductions while addressing key business challenges—particularly around Scope 3, emerging economies, and incentives for scaling climate finance and carbon removals.     The draft Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2 is now open for public consultation - and we encourage everyone to participate. The draft standard sets out a science-based, innovative and pragmatic framework that enables more businesses worldwide to join the 3,000 with net-zero targets or which have committed to set them. It is informed by the latest climate science, regulation, and recognized standards and frameworks, as well as feedback from businesses about what they need to achieve the collective ambition of a net-zero future. The feedback we gather from this and other consultations, our expert working groups and pilot testing will all inform changes ahead of the standard’s final approval. The draft standard aims to accelerate corporate decarbonization by: - Tackling barriers to scope 3, or value chain, action – the most commonly cited challenge by businesses - Maintaining focus on emissions reduction while exploring incentives to support scaling of climate finance and carbon removals - Making it easier for companies in emerging economies to set targets - Incentivizing ambition and action through new model to validate and recognize progress against targets We have a limited carbon budget left. Companies must act at pace to accelerate climate action, driving transformation, building investor confidence and unlocking long-term growth.     ???Last weekend, we teamed up with #GMRClient, McCain Foods, to delve into the world of regenerative agriculture at their "Farms of the Future" experience in Chelsea Market. When McCain shared their goal of working with their farmer partners to apply regenerative agriculture practices on 100% of their potato acreage by 2030, we knew that sustainable choices had to take center stage in this footprint. ???Chelsea Market's commitment to sustainable food practices made it the perfect backdrop. Guests discovered the ins and outs of regenerative agriculture vs. conventional agriculture as they journeyed through an immersive space designed with reuse and recycling at the forefront. A worm mascot, AR farmers, and top-notch brand ambassadors guided visitors, culminating in a delicious finale: McCain’s crispy golden Regen Fries.??? ???But the experience didn't end there, attendees also pledged their support for regenerative agriculture by signing seed paper to be planted in NYC this spring. #Sustainability #RegenerativeFarming #ExperientialMarketing #TasteGoodFeelGood
