Precure Vs. Mold Cure: What’s the difference? Precure retreading applies a strip of pre-molded tread around the old tire casing and splices it together using a bonding agent, while mold cure retreading applies raw rubber around the tire in one continuous strip—similar to new tire manufacturing—and places it in a rigid mold to be cured.
