Acute XR

Great news! The study using our earliest prototype, on which Calm Quest is based, has been published in Springer Nature's Virtual Reality journal. The study was performed independently by researchers at the Medical University of Vienna and showed that VR biofeedback is as effective as conventional biofeedback in emotional regulation training. We have learned much from this and ensured Calm Quest is as plug & play as possible. What you also will not read in the study, is the observation of the researchers that the VR study group was more eager to participate and continue doing so and that the participants were quickly and deeply immersed.

What an honor to be recognized by Poets&Quants as one of the Most Disruptive MBA Startups of 2024. My co-founder Andreas Lenz and I are toiling every day, (sometimes quite literally) pouring in our blood, sweat and tears into making our dream a reality, to turn therapy into play. While we are fueled primarily by our own indomitable passion for the company, these moments of recognition are important stepping stones that add motivation to our at times very fun and at other times arduous entrepreneurial journey. We demoed Calm Quest to attendees all day long, receiving tons of useful feedback (all of it positive!), pitched to investors, made new connections with amazing people from all over Europe, were featured on the Nación Innovación TV podcast and were interviewed by Radiotelevisión Espa?ola and even arranged several sales meetings in the city on the following day.
