As quoted from the late, great, Coretta Scott King: “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” A blessing and a challenge of our organization is that our members are all across the country, with relatively small numbers local to one another. This makes it less likely to meet other members within BUILD. During LEDucation we were able to host our first in-person BUILD event of 2025. We had a social mixer where we can put faces to names/emails, bodies to video screens, and energy to profile pictures! That evening fostered relationships both old and new, and thanks to our members Miranda Darden, PE and Tanya Hernandez, PE, we were able to secure sponsorship for the event.
