For the last two years, I have taken courses from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to earn my certification on effective teaching practices. Along the way, I have found a community of like-minded colleagues and learned various techniques to design inclusive, equitable, and engaging courses. I'm excited to keep growing in my teaching and mentoring—one of my favorite parts of this job!

Smith hosts a dynamic conversation with?Dr. Sy Bridenbaugh (University of Kentucky College of Education), Anne Grey, Ed.D. (Portland Community College), and Kelly Ferris Lester, Ed.D. (The University of Southern Mississippi). Together, they’ll explore how strong teaching and pedagogy transform students’ lives.

When The University of Southern Mississippi developed their Quality Enhancement Plan in 2016, they set out to strengthen Gateway and Pathway experiences for students. Their search for an effective solution led them to ACUE—a partnership that would go on to transform institutional culture, improve student success, and deliver an 8x return on investment.
