It is that time of year again - next Wednesday (1/22) we officially kickoff the new cohort of the free Threat Intelligence Support Unit Training (#TISU).
What is TISU??The training aspect is a free 14-week training program that meets once per week on the GCU campus, with an optional cert/test at the end, to help develop skills, make new connections, and certify your learning.?Our real goal though is to create a free/open community of professionals who are interested in doing community research related to threat actors, vulnerabilities, and exploit techniques / tactics.?
The ideal is for the TISU community to do meaningful research about threats and risks, hopefully helping participants to land security jobs and advance their career, as affiliated organizations are impressed by the results.?
The training meets once per week in Phoenix from 5:30 to 7:00 PM every Wednesday night, educating participants on attack flows via MITRE ATT&CK, defensive strategies using CIS18, and how to prevent, detect, and respond to threats.?
Special thanks to Christian Taillon ?, Colton Hooks, Cyrus Duncan, Ezra Woods, Megan Howell, Biniam G., David Richards, Joseph E Urbaszewski, Jessica Calyx, Frank J. Grimmelmann, Bob Franklin, Pam Rowland, Robert Loy, Pete Kim, Ryan Sidebottom, Steven Faulkner, Tyler Ostapuk, and the many other key contributors and supporters who help to make TISU happen each year!! Also thanks to graduates from prior cohorts and to ARIZONA CYBER THREAT RESPONSE ALLIANCE INC and Grand Canyon University for all of the ongoing support.
