(Dedham, MA) Activitas, Inc. is pleased to announce that Benjamin Gleason has been promoted to Associate Principal. In his new role, Ben will continue to provide best-in-class client service, supervise project development on a daily basis and will be the primary point of contact for the projects he manages. Based in Activitas’ Dedham’s office, Ben will continue to support the firm’s growth in New England and the mid-Atlantic. According to Activitas’ Managing Principal Patrick Maguire, “Ben is the proverbial 5-tool player. His ability to manage staff, client needs and project deadlines is top tier. He’s so efficient with his time, but it never comes at the expense of the design. He has a great aesthetic sense and a rare ability to balance functional design with thoughtful scaling and impeccable material choices. We are really lucky to have him as part of our firm.” Ben joined Activitas in 2012. Ben is a registered Landscape Architect in Massachusetts and Maine. He is a member of the American Society Landscape Architects, the American Sports Builders Association, and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects. Working with a range of municipal and private clients, Ben’s design portfolio includes recreation master plans, community park designs and post-secondary athletic complexes throughout New England. Ben has provided significant design support on numerous projects including the design of the New England Revolution’s new training facility and award-winning projects at Colby College in Waterville, Maine and Abessinio Stadium at Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware. Most recently Ben has spearheaded the revitalization of Beals Park for the Town of Weymouth (MA), an athletic fields renovation at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine and an outdoor classroom coupled with a parking and circulation improvements project for the Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts.

This past weekend, Activitas team toasted to a successful year. We are excited to further strengthen our collaboration in the coming year, and look forward to achieving even more together in 2025!

Today is the first day of school at the new Frederick D. Thomas Middle School.
