As the year ends, I’ve been reflecting on my conversations with 300+ leaders over the last two years. We’ve talked about what keeps them up at night, how their teams and companies are REALLY doing, and what actually works (and doesn’t work) when it comes to changing outdated standards of operation, creating impact and new levels of growth, and finding peace in leadership. ? In every single conversation, it’s clear that real change begins with each individual leader. Your presence, self-care, and approach are the most powerful factors in developing high-performing teams, inspiring individual accountability, and creating a thriving culture.? ? Trying to address company culture, your team, or any other external factors without addressing the leader first doesn't work. At least not sustainably. It’s a bandaid. It’s avoidance. It's exhausting. And it’s silly.? ? Yes, it’s silly not to start with the individual leader. Consider it procrastination: it delays your ability to get to real solutions to the most significant challenges your company faces.? ? It has to start with YOU.? ? No matter how we’ve taught, marketed, or implemented this work — whether tackling major culture shifts, focusing on innovation, sales, retention, leading enterprise initiatives, or using scalable training platforms — the most real and lasting change comes from working with you as an individual leader and ensuring you are equipped for your best impact and well-being. ? Plus, the higher a leader’s position and responsibility, the more conscious, no-nonsense, and intentional they need to be. When leaders operate from this place, the ripple effect on their teams and company is profound, leading to a healthier culture and improved results. ? You, as a leader, need a space to do your inner work, strengthen your presence, and be resilient in the face of demands. Once you experience this transformation, you’ll be more energized to extend it to your teams in scalable ways. ? After two years of exploring different models, ACI and I are returning to our roots: direct, focused work with leaders 1:1 and in small groups to support personal growth and organizational impact. You, as a leader, now have space to work closely with me while also having scalable support for your teams.
