This past September, we were facing a demanding fourth quarter yet wanted to finish the year strong. Websites to build. Videos to create. Logos and brands to design. And all while keeping up with social media posts, digital ads, blogs, and everything else our client partners rely on every day. We’ve got fancy tools to help — Asana for project management, Slack for team chatter, whiteboards, spreadsheets, sticky notes, and color-coding. But last quarter, we introduced something extra to keep us motivated and focused. Something?hands-on. More than 50 Billion individual sticky notes are sold each year! That’s Billion with a B! We didn’t use quite that many in our marketing account manager training this month, but we used quite a few in this exercise to identify all the many responsibilities of leading our client’s marketing, from strategy and creativity to communication and analytics. Restore Dental is a new organization in Huntsville that is improving access to restorative dental care for people who can't afford it. Their mission is to restore dignity, restore confidence, restore quality of life and restore smiles! We love the mission of Restore Dental and the impact they are making in our community. Today is Zero Inbox Day, a perfect opportunity to rethink how we manage our email inbox. Worldwide, around 3 million emails are sent every second! It's no wonder then that nearly 30% of workers say emails are their biggest work distraction, with many spending up to five hours daily checking, reading, and replying to emails. In today’s world, emails are essential for getting work done. The key is learning to manage your emails effectively – you control them, don’t let emails control you. Strategies like setting specific times for checking emails, organizing emails with filters and folders, and minimizing distractions by unsubscribing, you can regain control. Another tip is to think before you send. You can be contributing to someone else’s inbox clutter when you copy someone on a message that they don’t need to be included on, or when you send an email that could’ve been resolved in a workplace chat like Slack or Teams or by walking down the hall and talking to a team member face to face.
