We're dubbing today "Friends Friday" to celebrate those who support and lift us up. Wide Angle Youth Media exemplifies so much that we admire (we'd really like to be them when we grow up!) and more than that, they help us out whenever they can. When they moved into their beautiful new studio, they offered to share what they no longer needed. What a difference their contribution has made to our space! At the moment, there is nothing more precious than community. And we are blessed to be surrounded by the best.

As a small non-profit, Action Youth Media is all about community: we serve our community, lean on our community, and are proud of our community. Today, as so many non-profits are facing difficulties with federal freezes, we want to take time to once again thank Maryland Humanities. As a recipient of a SHINE grant, they have supported us with $10,000 to help ensure our after school and weekend programs for hundreds of youth will run this spring. Now in our 20th year, Action Youth Media continues to provide free classes and paid internships to all youth who enroll in our programs. WE’VE GOT 2 HOLIDAY PARTIES THIS WEEK! DEC 19th, 5-7pm: We want OUR STUDENTS to join us for an evening of fun, laughter, and holiday cheer! Pizza, drinks, and something sweet will keep us fueled for all the fun. We’ll have a White Elephant Gift Exchange: Bring a wrapped gift (unused or newish items) and get ready for some surprises! PARENTS that want to stick around - we’ll have a movie night set up for you with snacks and drinks too!
