Despite advancements in HIV prevention, many communities continue to face significant barriers in accessing life-saving resources like PrEP and HIV treatment. In 2022, Black gay and bisexual men, as well as Latinos, experienced disproportionately high rates of new HIV infections due to factors such as healthcare discrimination, stigma, financial challenges, and a lack of culturally relevant information. At Action Wellness, we are dedicated to addressing these disparities for clients by providing culturally competent services and fostering trust within these marginalized communities. We are also using the power of social media, to spread awareness, break down stigma, and ensure equitable access to HIV treatment. Join us in making a difference! The 2024 Philly AIDS Walk is happening this weekend! Since 1987, the Philadelphia AIDS Walk has been the region’s largest annual HIV public awareness and fundraising event, raising both money and awareness to help end the HIV epidemic.
