Cape Ann Savings Bank announces the appointment of Margaret ‘Muffin’ Noonan Driscoll as a Trustee of the Cape Ann Savings Bank. The appointment was made by unanimous vote by the Cape Ann Savings Bank Board of Trustees. Marianne Smith President of Cape Ann Savings Bank states, “Margaret ‘Muffin’ Driscoll has many of the characteristics that we look for in a Trustee. She is deeply dedicated to the Manchester Community as exhibited by amongst other things, her years of service on the Manchester Affordable Trust and the Manchester Board of Selectman. She is a lifelong resident and worked in the community for many years, and as an added bonus, she has past banking experience. Muffin grew up with long standing roots in Manchester-by-the-Sea and holds true to the cornerstones set forth by her family of hard work, public service, and generosity.” Muffin has banking industry experience having worked for the Warren Five Cents Savings Bank for more than ten years. Following her career in banking, she spent two decades working in the Manchester-Essex Regional School District before accepting a position, working closely with the Dean of Students at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody. Muffin has enthusiastically dedicated herself to improving the lives of others and giving back to the local community. She sits on the Board of Directors at Action Inc., and is the Board Secretary, is a founding member of the Hooper Fund’s Board of Directors and has volunteered her time to serve several local non-profit organizations. Muffin is a strong believer in the Bank’s mission of supporting and giving back to its communities and currently serves as a Corporator of Cape Ann Savings Bank, a position she has proudly held since 2019.

Homeless Services Navigator Summary:?Complete intakes, assessments, provide referrals and coordinate with partner agencies to ensure complete access to available resources for shelter guests and unhoused community members. Serve as the Coordinated Entry (CE) program specialist and agency point of contact. Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00-5:00 Benefits:?Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Holidays, Life Insurance, AD&D, Long Term Disability, EAP, 403(b) with generous match after first year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary navigator for guests of the emergency shelter. - Assist clients with coordination of available public benefits and assist with the application processes for such benefit- including but not limited to public housing, Section 8 and SNAP. - Provide continued outreach and follow up services to those clients who have been housed. - Attend shelter staff meeting to ensure service coordination for guests between the shelter and main office in addition to working collaboratively between the Housing and Community Services departments. - Meet with households in person or over the phone to discuss the CE entry prioritization and waitlist system and conduct CE assessments with those interested in participating. - Record CE assessment in VESTA. - Obtain a signed data confidentiality agreement from each client whose information is entered into VESTA. - Receive and respond to calls from housing providers to assist in connecting with clients selected through the CE process. - Participate in the CE subcommittee in addition to maintaining contact with the CE program administrative staff when requested to discuss concerns and issues. - Provide outreach services to unhoused individuals to attempt to engage them in services. - Enter and update information on clients served in internal databases in a timely fashion, meeting all mandatory deadlines. - Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration and mutual respect. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - BS degree in Human Services or related field or 3 years of relevant work experience. - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Reliable, responsible, highly organized and willing to take initiative. - Able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines. - Must possess a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to client health care status. - Must also possess a high degree of skill using Microsoft Office products and internet resources. Behavioral Health Clinician Summary:?The Behavioral Health Clinician provides individual and group counseling services to guests at Action Inc.'s Emergency Shelter, clients in the Housing First program, as well as other Housing Services clients, as capacity allows. The (BHC) is based out of the emergency shelter located in Gloucester. Hours:?Full-time, exempt, 35 hours per week. Monday-Friday (early morning and/or later evening hours required but are flexible) Benefits:?Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Holidays, Life Insurance, AD&D, Long Term Disability, EAP, 403(b) with generous match after first year Hiring Bonus: $500 at the successful completion of 3 months and additional $1,000 after the completion of 6 months. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one mental health and substance abuse counseling to individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing homelessness. - Facilitate support and psychoeducational groups, seeking feedback on topics from clients and staff. - Employ trauma informed, recovery oriented, strengths-based, and person-centered treatment techniques that are culturally aware and informed. - Engage in brief intervention therapy, making referrals to community resources and ensuring a smooth transition. - Stay knowledgeable of and collaborate with other community services to ensure appropriate referrals and services for clients. - Maintain confidentiality of all client communication and meetings. - Enter and update information on clients served in internal database in a timely fashion, meeting all mandatory deadlines. - Attend staff meetings to review group and individual issues within the Shelter and Housing First programs. - Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide and other meetings. - Participate in biweekly supervision with the Director of Housing Services, who is an LICSW and?can provide clinical supervision for licensure. - Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting the values of teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required, Master's preferred - Must have Licensure or be license eligible - 1-2 years of previous, relevant experience - Ability to work with diverse populations - Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. - Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). - Name-based criminal record check (CORI) returns information on available Massachusetts arraignments. ?
