Thank you to Lindsay Powell, MPP for hosting the House Majority Policy Committee hearing on achievable housing last week, featuring experts from across the commonwealth to speak on housing challenges. James Eash, the director of real estate development at ACTION-Housing, was honored to testify alongside Craig Burkley, the COO and CFO at NeighborWorks Western PA and Angel B. Rodriguez, the executive director and senior vice president of land management at Philadelphia Land Bank with Philadelphia Department of Planning & Development. Experts detailed the many challenges, including cost-burdened households devoting more and more of their income to housing – resulting in households with fewer dollars to spend on essentials and living expenses.
