We are excited to share a new Case Study of how wearable digital health technology demonstrated a meaningful treatment benefit for patients in Pfizer's recent Phase 2 Cancer Cachexia clinical trial. ? Digital measures demonstrated robust and meaningful patient-centric benefits in this multifaceted condition, providing further evidence of treatment efficacy. ? The study team quantified an increase in physical activity in the highest treatment group, with 72 more minutes per day spent in non-sedentary behavior than placebo group. During our recent Digital Health Monthly webinar, we reviewed data that increasing physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness can have a meaningful impact on health outcomes, including all-cause and cardiovascular disease-associated mortality risk. ?? Including accurate measures of physical activity in obesity research can give a clearer picture of how treatments impact critical health outcomes beyond a decrease in body weight.
