Like others before her, Across America team member, Ilse Callejas was initially nervous to join a new industry when she wrapped up her degree in Anthropology and Archaeology to join the #insurance sector. However, as a quick learner, Ilse has seamlessly integrated into the #underwriting and #IT teams over the past two years, working to develop Across America’s online rating system, automated compliance reviews and various reports to refine the underwriting process. Today, one of her favorite parts of her job is forming new #connections and #relationships with new #agents, #carriers and other industry members. Over the past two years, she has built expertise in driver list reviews for fleet accounts and gained experience in agent follow-ups and loss runs, while also becoming a key player in training new team members. Alaniz’s journey is another example of how insurance can open doors to unexpected and fulfilling career paths.
