In Memoriam Over the weekend, we lost a dear friend and colleague, Dan Murphy, in a tragic accident.? Dan was our CFO and a man full of life, laughter, common sense, and wisdom. He joined Bill’s former firm, The Parthenon Group, in its early days in their two-person finance group as the Controller. Later, when Acropolis Advisors was founded in 2020, Dan signed on as our CFO. We cannot remember a single time when Dan was not a positive and supportive individual to everyone he worked with at Parthenon and Acropolis. He was loyal beyond the call of duty and steadfast at protecting us from any potential barriers in our growth and development. Undoubtedly, Dan put out more fires than we were aware of and always had our best interests at heart. Most importantly, Dan was a devoted father to Isabelle and Josh. He adored them and spoke often of their joys, accomplishments, and disappointments. We all have our Dan stories, and most are around his humor and good nature. Beneath his affable self was a man of impeccable character, great integrity, and Infectious charm.?He will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him. We will miss his guttural laugh, genuine caring for others, and friendship. When Dan enters those pearly gates in Heaven, the assemblage is in for a rare treat!
