It's crucial for all employers to be aware of these requirements to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment. Knowing what incidents need to be reported and when can help you respond promptly and effectively in the event of a workplace accident or injury. Reportable Events: ? Fatalities: Must be reported within 8 hours (if occurring within 30 days of the incident). ? Hospitalizations, Amputations, Eye Loss: Must be reported within 24 hours of learning about it. All employers under OSHA jurisdiction must report these incidents, even those exempt from routine record-keeping.
