Congratulations to Foodbanker Debra Hagarty, CFRE for winning the Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award from AFPNEO! Debbie is an an experienced professional. She has demonstrated impactful leadership by coordinating, recruiting and inspiring others to contribute financially to our food bank and she shows a strong commitment to advancing philanthropy. Debbie is 1 of 6 professional fundraisers to receive this award since 2006.

Your Foodbank – like all food banks across the country – has been coordinating with Feeding America to send food and essential items to communities in southern states affected by recent hurricanes. We believe in the power of community and compassion, and together, we can help our friends during this challenging time. Check out this quick update from our president and CEO.

The Foodbank and local health professionals recognize the strong link between food insecurity and poor health outcomes. Through partnerships with area health systems, the Foodbank is working to increase access to nutritious food for families and individuals experiencing health challenges.

Last week, we proudly worked with ALDI USA to support their annual disaster box packing. These emergency food boxes will be housed at the Foodbank and may be deployed in the near future as southern states recover from a devastating hurricane. In partnership with Feeding America, we are also shipping a truckload of non-perishable food items to support disaster relief efforts. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this national crisis.
