#SWITCH2024 #Innovation | ???? Pre-SWITCH 2024 Recap ?? Yesterday was the perfect lead-in to SWITCH 2024! A big thank you to #TaipeiBusinessAssociationInSingaporeJuniorChapter for organizing the impactful TaiSin Startup Summit, bringing together around 100 participants, including 40 innovative Taiwanese startups, VCs, and industry leaders from both Taiwan and Singapore. Hosted at Singapore Management University, this half-day summit was dedicated to building cross-border partnerships and sparking industry innovation. The day kicked off with networking over refreshments, followed by opening remarks from Yi-Cheng (Bruno) Lin and a welcome address from Mr. William Wu of the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore. Keynote sessions covered diverse, essential topics, from DBS's digital and AI transformation journey by Him Chuan LIM to insights on regional expansion from Startup Island TAIWAN’s Allen John Ku. Engaging discussions followed, diving into venture capital trends, an entrepreneurial journey with Aspire's Thomas Jeng, and a look at SEA and India marketing strategies with Kevin Wu of Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The summit also explored topics like the Taiwan stock market shared by Peter Chng of Taiwan Stock Exchange, youth entrepreneurship, and Singapore's regulatory landscape. We closed with a vibrant networking session, where connections were made and collaboration opportunities explored, followed by Taiwan Night—a welcoming dinner filled with meaningful conversations and networking. However, my parents weren't experts in aerodynamics, and my teachers were too busy to provide me with the guidance I needed to explore this passion. That’s why I wanted to build an AI that can help provide every single kid with their own dedicated coach and playmate that can chat with them and help the kids learn. While 81% of U.S. households with children own tablets, popular AI apps like ChatGPT, Character AI, and Claude do not serve children under 13. Heeyo aims to fill that gap by providing COPPA-compliant, age-appropriate AI friends for children, helping them learn and grow! Kids can choose or design their own AI friend to interact with. We offer over 2,000 interactive games and activities, including books, trivia, and role-playing adventures. Parents and children can also create their own learning games, whether it's Bible trivia or a truck treasure hunt.
