US operation of ACOMA Medical Imaging was founded in 1985 as a medical device manufacturer. ACOMA ceased its US operations in 1998 and is now UNITED RADIOLOGY SYSTEMS, INC. All of ACOMA's proprietary portable x-ray technologies are now owned by POSKOM Co., Ltd. (S. Korea), who have continued advancing and manufacturing these devices that are sold through POSKOM America (a United Radiology Systems company).
